Child Care Programs that Nurture a Love of Learning
Structured Learning for our Li'L Champs
We provide loving care for children ages 1 through preschool and also offer before and after school care for children ages 6-12. Ma’s Li’L Champs Learning Academy in Portage is an Indiana state licensed child care center. Through a detailed daily schedule, your children will be involved in a variety of cognitive and physical experiences to help them learn, develop and grow.
Staff Credentials
Each member of our amazing staff is required to pass a national background check and drug test. They are also CPR and First Aid Certified. Our teachers complete yearly continuing education training in Early Childhood Education. We conduct all practices in a confidential manner.
Pre-School Classrooms
Kindergarten readiness curriculum gives your child the skills and knowledge to be prepared for elementary school. Learning centers have been developed as areas of exploration centered on literacy, building imagination, math concepts, hand-eye coordination, large muscle development, science, writing skills and class time.
Toddler Classrooms
One and two year olds have their own classrooms designed for their level of attention span and curriculum. Soft rugs and colorful toys are placed in separate play areas so toddlers can play in groups or by themselves. Every day our trained teachers follow a structured learning schedule where activities teach language, social skills and motor skills.
Nutrition
We are proud members of the National Food Program, serving breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. Our amazing cook gets creative and surprises the children by making food fun so they like eating their fruits and vegetables while learning about healthy choices.
Before and After School
Elementary students can easily hop on the bus to/from Kyle, Jones, Paul Sayler and South Haven Elementary Schools. When your child arrives for our before and after school program, he/she will be welcomed with fun activities and enticing snacks. Our teachers can also help your children with their homework, if needed. We also offer child care during school breaks: Fall, Christmas, Spring, Summer, etc...
